Performance
Primary Sedimentation
The HYBACS Process may be applied with or without primary sedimentation. The choice depends on factors such as the availability of existing primary sedimentation tanks, the nature of the primary solids and the sludge treatment and disposal requirements.
Flow Balancing
Flow balancing may be included when cost-effective and operationally desirable. Flow balancing is generally more appropriate at industrial sites where the treated water may be reused.
Micronutrients
Bacteria require micronutrients to undergo their life cycle and some wastewaters, particularly the more concentrated ones, may not contain the full range at the required concentration. For such wastewaters, micronutrients, customised for the particular site, may be dosed into the wastewater.
