Zero Waste

Bluewater Bio has entered into an exclusive representative agreement with Zero Waste Technology W.L.L., a regional leader in solid waste management and recycling in Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, for the sale of its HYBACS wastewater treatment system in those regions.

The agreement is accompanied by a broader memorandum of understanding, in which Bluewater Bio and Zero Waste intend to establish a joint venture company for operating in the Persian Gulf region in the near future.

Zero Waste has large-scale operations in conjunction with partners across the Middle East and, most recently in partnership with IuT of Austria, has established a pioneering bio-methanisation plant at Tuas, Singapore. Completed in March 2008, the plant deploys anaerobic digestion to process up to 800 tonnes of organic waste per day.

Our appointment as exclusive sales representative for the sale of HYBACS in our region marks the cornerstone for Zero Waste's future wastewater business much in the same way our deal with IuT did for solid waste. We believe that HYBACS's superior treatment quality and better economics will give Zero Waste a strong competitive advantage throughout the region.

This is an important deal for Bluewater Bio, delivering to us a footprint in the highly attractive and growing Middle Eastern market with a strong and established partner in Zero Waste. The intended joint venture between Bluewater Bio and Zero Waste will give us immediate representation on the ground.
